I believe that his character proved the epitome of poor morals and their consequences. Indeed, Hart was a sexist, unfair bigot and neglected to treat his employees with equality. Because of this, he ended up being sent to Bolivia, where he presumably captured by natives in the jungle. I believe this shows the existence of bad karma, caused by his poor actions in life. Thus, Hart proved to be a despicable character, showing how “not to act” in society. The events within the play made significant connections to the past. The clothing, setting, and dialogue were quite reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s. It really set a mood on the play and visually set a historic image within my mind. I really enjoyed the way in which they depicted the time setting, and think they did a tremendous job in doing so. Furthermore, seeing the play, done on stage, was amazing in comparison to just reading a script. Once again, the setting really depicted an older vibe and allowed my visualization of the story to be improved. Additionally, this play was a musical, which is distinct from most plays that I’ve seen. I though the cast did a tremendous job with singing, as I could follow the story through their many bursts of song. The songs and, moreover, the sound were great and catchy, and I really enjoyed listening to them. Finally, the lighting was awesome! I thought they did a great job with placement of spotlights when characters break into song. It allowed me to focus on certain characters and their actions during the
