Music has many influences on the human mind and body. Music can lower or raise your blood pressure and heart rate. Music can put thoughts and images in your mind and induce feelings and emotion. Your mood can also be altered according to the music you listen to. Although not all music has an effect on you most harmonics can . I think with the right parameters of songs, music could aid learning in numerable ways.

This occurrence relaxes your muscles and relieves stress, or controls your anger. You might be able to stay focussed easierly while working on assignments or school work. For schools and educational programs, the slow paced music is what should be used to help students focus and relax. Melodies with faster paced tempos and rhythms can have the opposite effect. You can become excited or anxious from the raising of your pulse and blood pressure. From this you might get distracted more easily or could become anxious or flustered by little things you normally would not notice. Sounds and harmonics in music can put images in your head as well. Like when you hear a certain drum playing images of bombs or gunfire may enter your thoughts, this should be quite a distraction from your current work. You’re trying to focus on an essay but the image of guys in lederhosen doing a jig keeps popping into your head , this probably won’t help you focus on your work very well. Obviously, you should avoid songs that are inherently distracting to you such as songs with loud screechy guitars or songs you always dance to. Students learning and studying abilities can be crippled by other students actions and intentions. The most common distraction that peers have on students is the outright disruptions, such as talking among friends or one group's antics for attention distracting the rest of the class. Distraction can be more personal too close friends continuously talking with you or teachers who won’t leave you alone. Others can inherently be a distraction with their music during tests and study periods. When someone has a song playing with earbuds in and the volume is raised to an uncomfortable level, the peers around them can hear the faint static. Then causing other students to be distracted, from their work and studies. If listening to music is to be permitted
