Many singers have there ups and downs in their life. Some let it effect their music career but some don’t. One of those singers is Billy Joel. He had major setbacks in his life but since he didn't let them get to him he had a major hit on his song “piano man” and also won many awards.

When he was sad about failing his first attempt as a professional singer and also loosing his relationship, he went into depression. That depression lead to half-hearted attempt of suicide. He stayed at a psychiatric hospital and when he was there they convinced him that his problems were minor. When he left he said to himself that he wouldn't go into depression again and he wrote a song called “You’re Only Human”. The song focused on problems that teens had
