This something that produces a sense of awe, because in the film people are not asking about or even recognizing the destruction of the city. There is a point in the film, when an old man is looking for Potsdamer Platz, but the place is no longer there, he keeps looking for it, but he finds nothing. This strokes as a form of rejection, of a human being redolent of its history, of the time when things were better. But this man’s moment of sadness also says something about the current situation, and mood of the city where people have moved on faster than the physical aspect of the city, because this man felt as if things were like they used to
