She gets really upset with Macbeth, explaining the fact that if she would have done it, then the plan would have stayed on the rails. She claims that her husband was too cowardly to take the daggers back so she did it herself. She says that next the both agreed to be each other alibi and that they should return to their sleeping chambers.
