Based on information gathered by the prosecution prior to November 6th, 2017, I believe that the jury will find defendant Rebekah Ponder guilty of the murder of Walter White, and defendant Elshaday Yilma will be found complicit. However, evidence will be found insufficient for the jury or an otherwise reasonable person to convict either defendant of robbery. During the trial, the jury will convict Ponder and Yilma of murder and complicity to murder because of the evidence that will be proven beyond a reasonable doubt by the prosecution. As seen in chapter 507, section 20 of the Penal Code for The State of Berea College, The Actus Reus of Murder is an act that causes the death of a person or third person.…

Before he is drafted, Henry has a free-spirited, peaceful, and goofily charming personality and is undeniably sanguine. In one instance, Henry tells Susy to “jump on [his] shoulders,” so “her hair reache[s] down past his waist, and he start[s] twirling this way and that, so her hair was flung out from side to side” (243). Here he is seen to be playful and silly, embodying the epitome of goofily charming. The road trip in and of itself captures Henry’s free-spirit. Even when the act is completely thought through and can be executed, it's not the physical struggle to act but the conflict with in, on weather to act, that we have to face as we continue living; weather our actions, outside the law,are justified solely to ease our conscience because we think they are right. When you first meet Henry, he is a young, eighteen year old boy who just enlisted into the military. At first he is very excited and is fighting but the reality of war quickly sinks in. It’s interesting to see how he reacts to this because death is a huge factor when it comes to fighting in a battle. One of the best parts in this story is seeing how he changes the emotions of guilt and fear into confidence and strength. At first when he leaves the “tattered soldier” out in the field he does not think anything about it but shortly after he realizes exactly what he did.…

The article that I chose to write about covers homicides that have taken place across Cincinnati's 53 neighborhoods for a 36-month period last year. The article was an interest of mine, because an old school friend’s father took the job as the police chief in Cincinnati recently. When I viewed the data that was presented in the article, the horizontal axis explained the number of homicides in a neighborhood. The vertical axis explained how many neighborhoods had each of these numbers; in the first column, 13 neighborhoods had zero homicides (Crowe, 1991). Most neighborhoods had few homicides, but there are a few neighborhoods in Cincinnati that have many homicides.…

PART A 1) On pages 42-43 of ‘The Fatal Equilibrium’ Henry Spearman’s daughter, Patricia, makes an error when discussing demand. She discusses what would happen to her ‘quantity demanded’ if there was a gorilla in her waiting room, rather than ‘demand’. As we read we can see that Henry’s exasperated reaction is to cringe slightly with laughter, although he wants to tell his daughter she has made an error, he decides against it. When talking about quantity demanded - the amount of a product people are willing to buy at a certain price – Patricia really was implying demand; the relationship between price and quantity demanded.…

Aaron Cole November 20, 2017 Professor Brozgal Paper 2 Murder in Memoriam: Discovery of Truth Taking influence on real historical events, Didier Daeninckx’s prize winning second novel—Murder in Memoriam—crafts the widely known historic reality of the Holocaust with the overlooked tragedy known as the massacre of Algerians on the 17th of October in 1961. The two events are expertly crafted to create a world of universal truth at last acknowledged. Tying these histories together by use of characters, presentation of unknown truth, as well as applying agency to three points of views, Daeninckx works to legitimize the lesser-known events of the Algerians to fully realize the literary purpose of Murder in Memoriam.…
