Wall-e, the ride, starts out with a slow moving pace, nonetheless, after a couple seconds, an instantaneous speed of 35 mph is achieved through work from the ride’s mechanics! From here on, there is a minor drop where your car will accelerate which then slows down as it increases in altitude once again. Comedy from this scene is created by a series of events and using film techniques which are sounds, framing, and angles. Eve was spinning so fast that WALL-E hit the ceiling of his vehicle so hard that his figure became indented into the rusty metal is an example from parts of the scene. This is an example of low comedy where it does not require much knowledge to get it and it is designed for the audience to laugh out loud. The whole scene is mostly made up of low comedy, too, like Eve being hostile towards a talking fish that sang or breaking a whisk by spinning it too fast. Back to the part where WALL-E’s figure is being shown on the outside of his vehicle is called framing which adds to the humor and if it were to be shown inside, it wouldn’t have much of a comedic effect.…

The teardrop design makes it much easier to balance these forces. the only forces exerted upon the riders are the force of gravity and the normal force The force of gravity is at all times directed downwards and the normal force is at all times directed perpendicular to the seat of the car. Since the orientation of the car on the track is continuously changing, the normal force is continuously changing its direction. Feelings of weightlessness and heaviness are associated with the normal force; they have little to do with the force of gravity.…

The origin of the roller coaster comes from Russia, in a particular area of what would later become St. Petersburg , where they sent sledders down 70-foot high slopes that were wood-framed ice slides. They have been doing this as early as the 16th century. The roller coasters were built out of wood with ice more than two but not a lot of inches thick covering the surface. There were stairs attached to the back of the slide that the riders climbed and then they sped down the fifty degree drop and climbed up the stairs of the slide that laid parallel and opposite to the first one.…

First appearing at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts, Amusement Park is an installation of five different iconic childhood amusement park rides such as “a Gravitron, bumper cars, a Twister and more”. Uniquely, Holler adds to the recognizable rides by manipulating everything from their speed and direction to their music and lights being sure to avoid any specific pattern, especially that of the traditional ride, as well as placing a large mirror wall at the end of the space to reflect the entire Amusement Park causing the work to be even more enticing. In fact, several of the rides were moving at such slow rates, looking at a glance you would not notice movement at all. For instance, one viewer confessed, “I actually didn’t even NOTICE that they were moving… until someone pointed out to me that all except the bumper cars WERE moving”.…
