Emotional Analysis Of The Cinderella Trailer

The video I have selected to discuss is the Cinderella Trailer. The trailer has several aspects to it, but the underlying purpose of the trailer is to attract attention to an upcoming movie. The majority of technique’s used within the trailer appeal to the viewer’s emotions, and the audience that include families and young females. The video exhibits signs of emotional appeals to an audience consisting of family viewers and young females, and its downfalls consist of selective viewership and cliché focus points. The trailer starts in a healthy looking field on a beautiful day with a young and happy Cinderella. She has both a loving mother and father, and the clip shows footage of joy in its most raw form. However, I see an obvious downfall in only appealing to half of the population of viewers. Although each of us know that Cinderella isn’t exactly a story any boy or man would jump up to go see, the producers do nothing to bring out any draw to the male viewers. The story itself is not just gender specific; like all movies the story is meant for all viewers male or not. Additionally the moments the producers chose to show throughout the clip did not show anything new in the story plot. Most of the audience would know, at best, the general story plot of Cinderella, therefore the showing of the major plots known to the audience does nothing to draw in new viewers. Instead of focusing on what people do know and remember about the story, I feel they should focus on points in the story that are forgotten, even by those that are familiar with the story. This way the story brings out a new light which allows the audience to focus on a new perspective of the story that the next generation of producers has to
