The Movie 'Rudy' And Its Influence On My Life

A movie that has influenced my life and my outlook on the world is the movie, “Rudy.” The movie is about a boy named, Eugene “Rudy” Ruettiger, that grows up in Joliet, IL, with a dream to play football for the University of Notre Dame. Ruettiger had trouble with his academics due to his dyslexia, but that didn’t stop him. He graduates high school and begins working for his father in a steel mill. The death of his best friend, “Pete Cunningham,” in an explosion at the mill finalizes his decision to attend Notre Dame. Ruettiger’s family never believed in his dreams, only Pete did. When he gets to South Bend, he gets help from one of the priests at Notre Dame named, “Father Cavanaugh,” Father Cavanaugh gives Rudy advice to go to community college
