By seeing the NHL as the workplace and the players as the workers, there were many work-related issues that the players had to face in the film. One of the largest issues shown in the film was the constant bullying and threatening by the managers and coaches, of the players jobs. They find out the money the owners are hiding and explain to the players that they should all be making more, as they are the bodies who are actually bringing in the money. They are the workers and the greedy owners are only making profit off of them.
Overall I think the movie NetWorth was a great film that showed the real struggles that happen between management and professional athletes. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys professional hockey and/or labour studies as both interrelate in the film nicely.
