Enough Film Analysis

The movie Enough expanded my knowledge and perspective on social violence in a lot of different ways. Coming from a small town with a good home life it was really hard to watch this movie. I grew up knowing everyone around me so it was extremely difficult to see that these things actually happen. A lot of me didn’t want to believe it happens but in reality it happens everyday and that it why this movie was really eye opening. The movie is about a woman who is a waitress at a restaurant. You can tell early on she doesn’t have a lot of money but she works hard for it. One day while working she meets this wealthy man that grabs her interest. This was also the gender issue we see in this movie. Throughout the whole movie Mitch was very powerful and very demanding and no one wanted to mess with him because he was the strong powerful man with an army. But with Slim’s strategies of learning self defense and how to save protect herself really showed that men aren’t always the stronger ones. The abuse that Slim went through was hard to watch. And the way she was so confident with herself was nice to see. She could have easily backed down and had Mitch destroy her but she didn’t allow that and that was amazing to watch. I learned a lot about abuse in relationships and how terrifying it can be never knowing what is going to happen next. This movie taught me that no matter what is happening to you, it 's your choice to change it if you don’t like it. This movie also taught me that it is very important to be in a healthy relationship and if I feel like I 'm not get out of it right away and have my friends and family be my
