The movie “Crash” was made in the year of 2005, In Los Angeles in the aftermath of 9/11. After I watch the movie Crash, I saw different views of the characters starring in this movie struggling to overcome their fears as they enter in and out of one another 's lives. Throughout this movie you would see symbols of racism, sexism, stereotypes, and religious beliefs, family and gender. As I move forward I will explain how racism, stereotypes and etc. was shown in the movie. Also as a social worker I will tell you how I interact with these individuals.

In the movie Crash it showed very good examples of different racist acts against oneself. From my knowledge I know that most racist acts is mainly caused by misunderstanding and fear. These terms

One stereotype in this movie, was at the first scene in the movie when Anthony and Peter are leaving out the restaurant. Anthony say their waitress had them waiting for a hour and thirty minutes, while they was waiting she ask all the whites if they wanted coffee but not never once ask them. Anthony said the waitress knew that black people don 't tip so that why she went to the white people first. Another stereotype that occur in this movie is when Dorri was inside the gun store. When Dorri ask for a certain type of bullets. The storeowner made it seem like she didn’t know what she was talking about. The reason why is because she is a women and only males are suppose to know stuff about guns and …show more content…
hate was shown a lot in the movie. One example of love is the racist police officer loved his dad and wanted to take care of him because he was very ill. A example of hate is when the Christine had got in a car accident. The racist police officer was there to save her but she wanted to die instead of the police officer that sexual assaulted her to help because she hated him that much. Also native vs. immigrant was shown in this film. One example of this was when the owner of the gun store disrespected Dorri and her dad because he thought they family was Arabic and didn 't know Dorri and her family was Persian. Lastly is wealth vs. poverty was shown in this movie. One example of this is Det. Graham has a decent amount of money but his mother is helpless and nearly homeless and he doesn`t help her
