A Narrative Essay About 9/11

September 11, 2001, was the most terrifying day of my life. Nineteen radicals linked with the Islamic terrorist alliance al-Qaeda skyjacked four aircrafts and made suicide attacks against national landmarks in the United States. One plane smashed into the Pentagon not too far from Washington, D.C., and the second aircraft collided in an arena in the middle of Pennsylvania. The last two aircrafts soared into the towers of the World Trade Center located in New York City, this terrorist act caused both towers to fall within two hours. This day is also call 9/11, the outbreaks of attacks and destruction caused extensive damage, destruction and death. It was clear to me that this was no coincidence and it instantly hit me that the human race had totally transformed on the spot and that we were under some sort of terrorist attack. Fire and smoke could be seen at the highest point of the structure. The fire department and the police department was descending on this area, but for some it was too late. A news reported stated that people were jumping out of the World Trade Center windows and falling to their death. I saw emergency personnel entering the building. The fireman and policeman were clearing as many people from the two building as possible. Then, at around 0940 hours the news station states that the Pentagon is under attack. I can’t control my emotions. Therefore, I walked to the restroom, locked the door and began to pray for those that have lost their life and the brave policeman and firefighters of New York City. I cried for at least twenty minutes because I thought about the individuals on the airplanes as well.
