INTRODUCTION: The Dubai Police Force has one of the most famous leaders named as Dhahi Khalfan Tamim. This leader has been in this organization for long time and his leadership skills make him one of the most effective leaders on the recent time. He has many accomplishments which lead the Dubai Police Force to be listed in the top of the police force list around the world.
MANAGING DIRECTOR OF DUBAI POLICE FORCE:
Dhahi Khalfan Tamim is a Commander Chief of Dubai Police. He was born in Dubai 01/10/1951. He studied in the Royal Police Academy, Amman, Jordan. He started his career as a normal officer in police station for years. In 1980, he became a Commander Chief of Dubai Police.

That’s why he is able to influence his subordinates easily on how to accomplish their tasks. Especially he works in different Departments in the police before reaching this Prestigious and influential position. Although if we consider that he doesn’t have formal authority on the subject, his long experience allows his words on the subject to carry weight and to have means of influencing the results of decisions. Nonetheless, it is common to have followers who might be more professionals than their leaders in a very high end details about the subjects. That’s why he has a legitimate power which was given to him due to his role in the organization. Hence, he might possess most of the authorities and privileges within the scope of Dubai police responsibilities. As a boss Dahi Khalfan can decide who does what and who goes where. And he has influence because he has been given the accountability for Dubai Police organization and all of its functions. Means he was given the green light to do anything will contribute in developing the work and enhance security. On the other hand, as a smart leader he will not focus on using this legitimate power and neglect the importance of personal relationships and individual needs of his followers. This doesn’t mean using legitimate power is wrong, however, it must be used in combination with other available sources of power to be most effectual. To end with, it is recommended to use legitimate power when things need to be done quickly when there is no time to explain why. Like for example, something touches the security of the country.
