The most selfless job that I can imagine is that of a teacher. I have had many over my twelve years of schooling, but a few special ones really stuck out and resonated with me. My eighth grade literature teacher, Mrs. Anian, inspired me in a way that few others have. She taught me to enjoy reading, and challenged me daily. Someone telling me that what I had handed in was not good enough, or challenging me to read a book that I figured I would hate is what set her apart from other students. She expected different things from every student, and set the bar as high as she saw each one could reach. Max Foreman once said that “teachers are people who start things that they never see finished, and for which they never get thanks until it is too late” (Foreman). I believe this applies
