Improved Essays
The most memorable day in my life was spectacular. It was full of music, dashing performances, scrumptious foods, and all the glamourous apparel one needs to have a ball. I was surrounded by the most-soundest of the mind members of my family. Whom all performed just leadership sharing the family vision, and wisdom. I despised not the discourse of the elders. They are learned of their fathers, and of them I will understand; I will answer questions as they do as need required. My first day in my Romada Hotel room. Started with me I knocking out my morning routine, next I pressed my garment, and I creased my pants, then I shined my boots. It was a set-apart day, from all other days of the year. It was my first, Passover! I picked up my cell-phone …show more content…
I told them I’ve never had so much fun and seen such order amongst our family before one of my eldest brothers Rami’Yah seen the happiness on my face, and gave me a hug with only his left arm and it popped my whole back. At the time I was 6’3 weighing 160 lbs. lean muscle, he is 6’6 could be 300 lbs. I wasn’t ready for his suffocating embrace. Rami’Yah stayed amongst the elders because of his stature, and wisdom. All the eldest men went on to tell me pivotal points. On what I was witnessing. The focus of Passover was on God’s laws that govern us and those of us who keep it. Keep them in fear of the Lord’s judgment, because there’s no other way to dwell in unity with adults. They make their own choices you cannot govern them. So we let God’s laws govern us, therefore we are on mind. Husbands focus on instructing their nation starting out with their households. Loving their wives as Christ loved us. Both parents teaching the youth importance of marriage, that’ll keep families together. Creating an environment for children to flourish. So they can make it to adulthood. I was told how to keep the children safe and the woman safe. In conclusion, I must say the mix of the Passover celebration, privilege to acquaint myself with the proverbs of wise men and woman. Childhood heroes can shape a person’s sense of identity due to the awe-like adoration that is expressed through the admirer. Many studies have shown that when people are reminded of some strongly valued or heroic people before beginning a very hard job, they throw more effort into the job at higher levels than if they had not had the strong connection before beginning the job. The school had just gone off for winter break. I was excited to be free of homework for two weeks I thought to myself. On the bleak morning of November 25, 1963, a number of photojournalists stood in front of St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington, waiting to capture the final moments of President John F. Kennedy. Cordoned off from the church’s perimeter, many of them captured emotional photos of the Kennedy family, as they mourn the death of the United States President that died just three days prior, in Dallas, TX, as a result of an assassination. Of the hundreds of photos taken on that dreadful day, Stan Stearns, from United Press International, captured the most acclaimed photos in Kennedy history. The portrait depicts a young John F. Kennedy, Jr., who was celebrating his third birthday, saluting his father’s casket for the last time, but it also portrays a child with hopefulness, that honors and admires his father.…

To counteract the decree, the Jews of that time got together in unity to plead God to inhibit the decree and save the nation. When God saw their unity, he realized they were worthy of salvation, as they were unified together as one nation. To commemorate the unity exhibited which resulted in the deliverance of the Jewish nation, it became customary to give gifts of food to friends and neighbors as a display of unity. The purpose of mishloach manot is to facilitate friendships and strengthen relationships between individuals through the giving and receiving of gifts. It is that same showing of achdut (unity) — one of the central themes of the Jewish religion — for which the salvation of the Jewish people in the Purim era can be attributed to.…

Orthodox Judaism is the continuation of beliefs and practices of Judaism and is accepted by the Jewish nation today. Orthodox Judaism is different than Modern Judaism as it isn’t a single movement. It actually has several different movements, but they all come back to the “common beliefs.” Both Orthodox Judaism and Modern Judaism have different beliefs and attitudes about modern culture, but they are similar in ways of practice throughout the Torah. Linked by Blood Sala, sala, sala, my silver anklets chime as I swish and twirl in the mirror, admiring the skirt of my dabang. I was looking forward to showing the dark blue, flowing dress off at my grandparents’ annual family Ramadan feast. The dress glides as I saunter to the balcony of my room. The pale pink sky was slowly transitioning into a light blue as the sun rose farther into the sky, like an unsatisfied painter painting over his strokes. I agree with Balswick & Balswick statement, “The high rate of divorce in most Western cultures supports the notion that it is difficult to establish a strong marriage in a postmodern society.” (Balswick & Balswick, 2014, p. 79) In today’s society the stability of marriage is not grounded without a biblical aspect of keeping Christ at center. Marriages should be man and women becoming one, in the aspect of unity being established by vows of promises and not build on rules and conditions. With rules and conditions it creates a positon for self-worth and greediness to enter the unity of a marriage.…

Wednesday, March 9 is when I started my sleep deprivation experiment. I wanted to see how long I could keep my body awake and how my lack of sleep would affect my mood and my everyday interaction with people. In my opinion, it went better than expected. Given, that is usually after several nights of not getting enough sleep, going to bed late, and waking up early.…
