Each and every 8th grader I had that year received honor roll or scholar roll. My success would be measured by the smiles on their face and still to this day showing me their report cards. They are 10th graders now.
A few months back I talked about about New Year’s resolutions and whether they should decide change for someone. All in all, the conclusion was that a New Year’s resolution should not decide when you change the things in your life. There is no specific time when you want to start your life over again. Although my high school years are mostly defined through academic success, I would have to say my most meaningful achievements came through the North Carolina FFA. This national organization provides me with countless opportunities to showcase my leadership abilities in my school, community, and state. Obtaining the positions of Vice President and President of my high school FFA chapter has had an enormous impact on my life. These positions led to serving on nominating committees, planning community events, attending leadership conventions and conferences, and participating in a state-qualifying parliamentary procedure team. It was these experiences that gave me a passion for public speaking and Agribusiness.…

The one accomplishment that marked my transition from being a child into becoming an adult would have to be when I got my first job at Culver’s. This accomplishment was a major milestone in my life which lead to many other great things to follow it. After applying to many different places I finally got a call back from Culver’s saying that they would like to have me come in to have an interview with me. At first I was a nervous wreck, but with the help of some really good friends with some good tips on how to dress, talk, and answer some of their tougher questions. I really appreciated their help and if it weren't for them I probably wouldn't have got the job.…

Some of my biggest accomplishments have been achieved because of one honor I received years ago. At age 7 I was admitted into the Talented and Gifted (TAG) program. The TAG program is for unique students with an IQ over 120 who aren't being challenged by the school's typical curriculum. This program has presented some of the most delightful challenges and rewarded some of the sweetest accomplishments to my peers and I. The influence of the TAG program can be divided into three different factions: peer competition, challenges from my instructor, and diverse experiences outside of the classroom.…

When asked the question, “what is your biggest accomplishment in the area of leadership,” the same answer comes to mind every time. It is an easy question for me to answer because of the tremendous impact this experience had on my life. In my junior year of high school, the SkillsUSA advisors repeatedly approached me about the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania Western Region Leadership Conference. I didn’t know what it was until they eventually pulled me and a few top students from my school aside and told us about having a “tryout” to see who would best fit to become an officer at the leadership conference. Each of us presented a prepared speech and an extemporaneous speech.…

One accomplishment that took a great deal of effort was when I had to set up the dodgeball tournament for the Herricks International Children’s Aid Program. We were using the dodgeball tournament to raise money for Uluru, an orphanage in India. The hardest part of the tournament was communicating. From getting referee’s to getting speakers for music, communication was a huge factor in the process. To get some weight off my shoulders, I told one of the members of the club to get water jug, ice and the first aid kit.…

I believe my greatest success was receiving honors at Argosy University. I think this was my greatest achievement because it’s something that’s gets me a little closer to my goals. If it wasn’t for that boost of motivation I received, I don’t believe that I would be as encouraged. I needed the boast so I can stay positive and stay on top of what is most important. An achievement like that takes hard work and when I saw it pay off, it made me so happy.…

There have been many accomplishments throughout the history of the world, and many of those accomplishments have improved and helped the way people go through life. I admire these accomplishments of course, but I also have a few achievements of my own. In band, I have made the All-District Honor Band every year I have tried out, this past year I passed on to the second round of state, and I made a one, which is the highest score, on my snare solo and passed on to state. These are not all of the accomplishments I have made in band, nor are any of these the accomplishment that I am most proud of. The accomplishment I admire most is trying out for the percussion section and making the cut.…
