Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on March 14th, 1879, but grew up in Munich, Germany, where he received his early education. Einstein was a poor student and could not speak fluently even at the age of nine, which brought his instructors to believe he might be mentally handicapped. Regardless of these issues, he was astonished by the scientific “laws” of nature, and had a sense of wonder and curiosity in the face of said laws. His fascination with science and logic was only heightened when he discovered …show more content…
The theory originates from Einstein’s search for a “law” of nature (previously mentioned) that would explain an issue that occurred to him when he was sixteen. The issue is mathematical in origin and would probably induce insanity and/or suicidal thoughts by trying to explain it in depth. The gist (I say that a lot) of it, however, is this: Time and space work together, right? Right. So imagine, instead of North and South on a graph, there’s time and space. The more you travel through space, or the faster you travel, the less you travel through time (think vehicular miles per hours). The closer you get to the speed of light, the slower time moves for you (think how the Millennium Falcon travelled light years in a matter of minutes). Also, the less you travel through space, or the slower you go, the more you travel though time (again, think of miles per hour). Einstein, somehow, managed to explain this in mathematical terms with his famous equation , E=mc2
