The most important life lesson Atticus teaches his kids is that courage doesn’t come from a man with a gun it comes from self- confidence.What Atticus is saying is that a gun doesn’t give someone courage.Being brave also gives you the courage to stand up against someone treating you badly or something that scares you.

The second most important life lesson Atticus teaches is that people in a mob will act differently than they usually do by themselves.Also, they might act like animals in a group but alone they’re still human.For example, Atticus explains by saying “Mr.Cunningham was part of a mob last night, but he was still a man.Every mob in every little southern town is always made up of people you know.”
