When we first started this course one of the assignment was to set short term goals that leads into completing our long terms goals. This strategy was very helpful for me because I had a visual realistic and tangible guide to follow in order to fulfill those goals. I set realistic goals such as how many classes to take each semester and what grade I wanted to earn in each of those classes. Setting goals also helped me on the personal level by setting weight goals, staying healthy etc. When I have these goals mapped out, it is easy to see where I am going and if there is an obstacle along the way, I can easily take a different route but still arrive at the destination. I am a competitive “type A” personality who needs to be the best, needs to have the highest grade, need to perform at her optimum. “Failure is not an option” has always been my mantra. Although this could be a good thing, without setting realistic goals, you almost set yourself up to fail. I’m learning that perfection does not exist but I will always still strive for it. Goal setting is important because it gives us a path and a step by step guide on how we can ultimately fulfill the ultimate goal. Goal setting also reminds that there are more than one way to arrive at our destination, so if one way did not work it does not mean you have to stop trying. A year ago today, I was fighting for my life, I was given pretty much a death sentence because of an illness, but I never stopped fighting and I prayed that if I was given a third or a fourth chance to live, my goal was to live my life by fulfilling all the goals I have set for myself but couldn’t achieve because of my illness. Getting and staying healthy is a daily goal and I will need to do it for the rest of the life I was so luck to

Fitness and Goal Setting Knowledge Fitness and goal setting have been the main topic of conversation in this class. Whether we need to work on legs or arms today, or what we are going to do in the future. I learned that it is better to do quantity over quality when it comes to fitness workouts, and that it is always important to stretch and warm up your muscles before a workout to ensure you do not strain any muscles. For goal setting, I learned that if you pick a specific goal that you wish to achieve, like say to reach +10 in the fitness flexibility test, you can keep working towards that goal step by step, or in this case number by number, to reach your goals efficiently. When reaching towards a goal, you cannot just make it in one try…

Process Analysis Students in school wonder if it 's possible to get all A 's in their classes or maybe just one class. I’m going to start off with experience from school. With some of the experience that I had in school I think it is possible to get an A but the student has to be on the ball and not slack off at the end. Students just have to try hard and not get distracted when they are doing their work or studying. If they could do that then there will be no problem on passing the class with a good grade.…
