Who is the most important character in the play?
For the past month we have read the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. The question I choose is “Who is the most important character in the play?”
The most important character would be Hermia or Egeus. The reason I chose Hermia is because the story kinda started with her and her dad Egeus arguing about who Hermia would marry. In this story a rule is that the father would pick who their daughter would marry. Egeus Hermia's father wanted her to marry Demetrius, but Hermia wanted to marry Lysander. Hermia didn't like Demetrius, but her dad wanted them to get married and if Hermia doesn't want to get married to Demetrius then Hermia's father could kill her.
