The Most Dangerous Game Short Summary

The Most Dangerous Game Out of all the three short stories “The Most Dangerous Game” is the best out of all the three in my opinion. The plot in “The Most Dangerous Game” starts out in a ship full of sailors. One of Rainsford's crew members named Whitney then starts talking about a mysterious island that is close by. When everyone falls fast asleep Rainsford hears gunshots and he suddenly wakes up from his sleep and tries to see where the strange firing of a gun happened his pipe was knocked from his mouth. Rainsford then falls out of the ship while trying to catch his fallen pipe and is forced to swim to shore. He reaches an island which is referred to as “Ship-Trap Island” by the superstitious sailors and decides to follow the gunshots he heard from before.
