The Most Dangerous Game has many different in it. One of the multiple themes n it is that you should never trust strangers that you don't know on an island. This theme is relevant throughout the story in many places. For example, he trusted the stranger on the island when he first met him because he believed he would save his life. Although it may seem like he was going to help him, as the story progresses it becomes obvious that the stranger that he has just met has much worse intentions than to help him.
