Survival is key in The Most Dangerous Game and High Noon. Although our two protagonists, Rainsford and Will Kane, run for the beginning of the fight they quickly change that and become the predators. Both Kane and Rainsford end up winning this fight. In the movie High Noon, Frank Miller is coming back to seek revenge on Will Kane. At the end they finally have a shoot off and last man standing, which would be Kane, wins. In the book The Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford is out at sea then falls off a boat and goes to an island as to where pistol shots were heard from. A little later on he has befriended a tall Russian warrior and finds out that he doesn't hunt animals, but humans. Both stories share similarities, but they do have many differences. …show more content…
"He struggled to the surface and tried to call out, but the wash from the speeding yacht slapped him in the face" (Connell 213). This quote shows that Rainsford is alone in the ocean, and in the middle of no where. There is no one to help him, but himself. "Kane is staring at him, stunned. Then he looks out at all the silent people with the answers on their faces" (Foreman 317). This is again another sign of loneliness. No one has volunteered to help Kane, leaving him alone to fight Miller. Both protagonists are isolated from everyone and they only person to protect then is themselves.
The conflicts in the stories are very similar in some ways. "Ben takes the first shot, but misses Kane" (Foreman 328). This shows the first attack when Miller came back. "The baying of hounds drew nearer and nearer" (Connell 230). This is the first official attack, where Ivan is holding the dogs and Zaroff is with him. They both fought their enemies and both protagonists won the

How would you feel if you were approached at random in your own home to go to a place where each day you’d be fighting for your life? Well, this was what happened to Ender Wiggins. Ender’s Game is a science fiction story focusing on battles between different armies throughout space. It leads to a search for different soldiers all trying for one ultimate goal: beating the returning champions, the “Buggers.” When looking at both the film and the novel, in my opinion, the book was superior.…

Later on in the beginning the author immediately sucker punches the reader when Rainsford falls off of the yacht he was on. Before the reader is even remotely ready, Connell gets the reader’s heart racing…

One of the difference in this story is the main characters. " Will supply you with hunting cloths, food, and a knife" (Connell 226). This shows Rainsford who is the main character does not have a lot of resources and will have to think a lot to survive. " Then, putting down both his guns, he opens a drawer, takes out a box of bullets and stuffs bullets into his pocket" (Foreman 323). This shows Will Kane has lots of recourses with him and he will not need to use his brain as much he will just need to shoot the people after him.…

Divergent—Book vs. Movie In the first of the Divergent series, there are several differences between the movie and the book. These differences prove to make the book more enjoyable to readers. It is a typical thing in literature for a book to be more enjoyable to the reader than the movie will be as the reader has the freedom to decide what his own scenes look like. The book is superior to the movie in that the representations of violence are less in most ways than in the book.…

No book or movie is ever alike. This is shown in the book “Enders Game” by Orson Scott Card and the Enders Game movie by Gaven Hood, where the book and movie had many similarities but as well had many differences. In the novel Ender is portrayed as a very different kid after he gets to battle school; however this is not shown in the movie. Another difference would be how Lock and Demosthenes were not mentioned at all in the movie, yet had a huge role in the book, and the final would be the endings for both the movie and book as well as Enders reaction to what’s going on in the end. These three reasons show how the movie is very different from the book.…
