On his journey to the future, the Time Traveler concludes his first theory that the Eoli are a result of human evolution. This theory focuses on the negative effects that evolution has had on the human race as a result of living a life too easy. In the Time Machine, the Time Traveler suggests three theories; the Eoli are the only human descendants and have become lazy due to a too easy life, secondly, he believes that the Morlocks evolved into rugged workers based on their lifestyle, and lastly, the Morlocks have become predators to the Eoli people. Similarly, he is able to theorize why this may have happened. Comparing the failing world to Darwin's theories allows us to see the negatives of our own society today. Are we too reliant of technology? Will the human race up life this in the future or worse, like the black tentacle creature on the Time Travelers last
