Abortion is the termination of pregnancy with the consent of the mother of the unborn child. Consequently even when the mother is planning abortion, pro-lifers argue that the procedure should not be allowed because it violates basic rights of the child. On the other hand Pro-choice supports a mother’s right to make the decision. The mother may feel that a child would only lead to emotional, financial, and social problems. This paper will address both sides of these issues and briefly mention the parts the Supreme Courts plays in these issues.
