How is this any different from a same-sex couple who are well aware they cannot have children? Homosexual couple’s sex should also be ‘no less real and no less fulfilling’ either based on their principles, these views clearly hold a double standard for marriage and sex.

Two individuals in a same-sex marriage are able to watch out for, and take care of each other in a way that society and the state does not have. Same-sex couples are able to take care of children and provide a safe and nurturing environment from them just as well as a heterosexual couples. In terms of the final purpose, the only contradiction would be lesbian couples however, Halwani states, “One might think they do because if lesbians marry other lesbians, this would result in leaving many men unsettled. This is not true, because even if lesbians do not marry other lesbians, they would not marry men anyway” (Halwani, 2010).
