We all know the phrase, “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Neil Armstrong said this as he took the first steps on the moon. This moment was an immense one for humans. We had finally reached the moon, something scientists had always dreamed of. Although, what if it was fake? What if everything we learned about this great moment was not the truth? NASA is a piece of the government, so if NASA lied, then the government did likewise. Even though, the government has lied before and most likely will again, something to this extreme would horrify the population. This vast scientific breakthrough would mean nothing, and NASA would lose a large number of credibility. If this theory was proven true, NASA would have two options in reply. Either admit to their fault, or produce as multiple excuses as needed, possibly shifting blame onto someone else. In a picture, there is shown an astronaut in the far back leaning on the ground, and their shadow falls to the right of them. But, there are rocks closer in the image and their shadows fall more towards the front of them. The moon has the same light source as us, the sun. Therefore, just like on Earth, all shadows should fall in the same direction. The way the shadows fall in the picture suggests there is more than one light source, just like there would be on a film set. A film set has many lights, all pointed in different directions, so depending on where a person is standing and the light, there are numerous possibilities where their shadow could fall.
