The Monologue Of Hostia Bontade

Ciaccio looked over his files, researching his new clients. What he found did not impress him. Hostia Bontade was a young man who was, apparently very active in the black market. Well, at least he had quite a bit of money, as he was an heir to a powerful sicilian familia, and a lack of wits of accompany them, shown by the very obvious tracks he left behind his lawless undertakings.

“You can cheat him out of his wits,” smiled Beelze. “And then you’ll have even more money that you began with”
“You already have enough money.” scolded Cass. “Why would you want to hurt the poor boy? He never did anything to you. Look around you, in this 5 star office with brand names everywhere.

“I belong to the Bontade family! My father will kill you!”
“Don’t fret,” Ciaccio smiled. “I already have his consent to do whatever I deem necessary. He believes carelessness shouldn’t go unpunished.”
The white began to overtake his hair, some strands even falling out. He doesn’t even question it. Fool.
“Wait, you can’t do this!” Hostia repeated, pulling his rings one by one of his now weathered fingers. “Each of these costs a fortune. If...”

Cass crouched on top one of the higher trees, scanning the undergrowth and he watched for Beelze. I can’t go directly there. He’s obviously following me. As he heard leaves rustling in the wind, he thought, Of course he wouldn’t give me two minutes, before flinging himself off the tree, reaching for the next’s

“Hey! I’m just following orders. You know he can’t do anything really bad with you here,” Beelze laughed, enjoying the moment, wind whistling as he loped after Cass, almost leisurely. “Why are you so scared? You’ll come back as soon as he goes to church!”
I don’t know why he even bothers, thought Cass.
“Why are you even trying,” asked Beelze as he leapt in front of him. “I know it’s not just for my enjoyment”.
“Maybe it’s because I don’t like getting my head chopped off. It still hurts, no matter how many times you do it,” panted Cass as he jumped to the ground, eyes darting around him, looking, searching for... There! he thought as he spotted his hidden cave, one he had made for just this moment. He paused only for a second, thought strangely, he could not here Beelze laughing around him. He took no notice as he dove inside, through a hole just big enough to allow him entrance, yet small enough to cover with a couple rocks. Gasping for breath, he leaned back on the solid rock wall, arms spread out covered in scratches from the run to his haven, until, he heard footsteps echoing that made him freeze. Again? he thought
