Synopsis: Tia Mowry-Hardrict stars as Holly: a kind hearted singer who tries out for the open spot in the local but well- known Christmas group called the Snow Belles that her late mother founded. Although extremely talented, Holly gets a call from Marci (Tori Spelling), the group’s leader, who tells Holly that the spot was taken by Marci’s less talented best friend. Determined to star in the local mall’s Christmas Eve show, Holly refuses to accept defeat. Consequently, she gathers a group of coworkers and creates her own musical group called The Mistle-Tones. Eventually, The Mistle-Tones challenge the Snow Belles. Leading up to this rival challenge, Holly finds out about the true meaning of Christmas and the power of friendship while a new love interest appears.

Holly sees the change of heart in her boss and they end up adding a romantic element to the movie.

The film provides viewers with shots of the cast spending countless days in an office supply room practicing. The film also includes a christmas soundtrack made amazing thanks to its variation. The songs include The Twelve Days of Christmas and Oh holy Night, both performed by Tia Mowry. Still, it includes a contemporary song called Burnin’ Love made by Jonathan Patrick Moore. All in all, each song individually adds onto the movie and then some.

Throughout this film, Tia Mowry-Hardrict’s portrays her character to the best of her ability. As she has always starred in family friendly movies, it was not surprising to see her, yet again, as a loving family oriented woman with a dream. This casting decision without a doubt was a great

Hallmark 's Cedar Cove will always hold a distinctive place in my heart for a variety of reasons, and I will admit that Teryl Rothery is one of them. I was introduced to this exquisite actress through that show, and I can still remember sitting there in my chair watching her portrayal of Grace. I so identified with her character, and once I began to research Teryl 's career, I was awestruck with her versatility and extensive range of her abilities that she has had the opportunity to demonstrate over the course of her impressive career. Recently, Teryl graciously agreed to answer a few questions about her chosen profession as well as her notable (and current) sci-fi and Hallmark works. teryl-rothery-hallmark-channel-2015-winter-tca-party_1.jpg…

The Royal Family, written by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber, is a play about three generations of a wealthy family during the 1920s. I watched the play on December 6, 2015 at the Pierce College Arts Building. The play was directed Anita Adcock, who did great job setting the play as she intended it to be. Everything from the costumes, the lighting, to the typecasting was excellently produced. Particularly, the set design was able to greatly express the theme of the play.…

The representation of women in film has drastically changed throughout the decades due to feminist movements and the overall transition of society. Women have always been set upon a certain expectation and stereotype, as being passive and lady-like, but as time has past, so did these perspectives. Holly Golightly is the female lead in Breakfast at Tiffany’s who rejects the traditional ideals of women by being single and independent, living a life that did not reflect how women actually lived in the 1960’s. The Barden Bellas of Pitch Perfect reflect an even greater change of the conventional woman by being an all-female acapella group that has women of different sizes, sexuality, and willpower to overcome their all-male competitors. The representation…

Two of Broadway’s most talented voices emerged from the hit musical, “Wicked.” Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth both had been in broadway shows long before but wicked was the one that blew them into stardom. The musical displays numerous singing acts that tell the story of a girl who grew up slightly different from the rest and a stereotypical popular girl that tried to help her gain her confidence. Idina and Kristen’s voices are like no other in the musical because their voices bring our qualities in their character that complement the character so well. The dark alto tones of Idina plays off of the envy and awkwardness her character constantly lives with.…
