Second off, the court concluded its view of “among the several states” which led to instances that may be intermingled within its interior boundaries. As a result, it established the federal government’s superior authority when in conflict with the state. Like in the Obamacare act, states did not have voluntary consent. Minimum wage is the lowest wage permitted by law or by special agreement. Minimum wage is different in every state, and the debate is whether or not minors should be paid minimum wage. One side states that minors should not be paid minimum wage, meaning that people who are under the age of 18 should not be paid the minimum wage their state allows. Then the other side says minors should be paid minimum wage. Each side makes valid points, and both have cons to it as well.…

Ever since the founding of this country, the Americans have worked to strive to become something greater. One of the key components that this country focused was the idea of “freedom”. This proves, later on, to be one the most controversial ideas because there is nobody out there that can state the perfect amount of freedom that should be given in order to main peace and harmony. Even before the disputes with labor and management in the industrial era, there has been a problem regarding the amount of regulation that government can posses over the citizens. People have different opinions about governmental control because some view that governmental control restricts one’s freedom.…

One of the key topics in the article was the theory that an increase in minimum wage may result in a slight increase in GDP. The article elaborates on the theory by stating that workers generally spend more when wages increase.…

I think citizens judge minimum wage workers because they feel it gives them a sense of superiority. I think citizens view it as like a pyramid where if you are above a person or you may have a little more than someone else below you they feel they have to authority to look down to those who are below them. I think most judgement is based on location, image or stereotypes. I think location because based on where you go to purchase or consume some kind of item or good you are going to deal with low income workers and based on where you go you may have a good experience or you may have a bad experience. When you have a good experience with a low income worker everything is ideal for the citizen.…

In the article, The Minimum Wage: To Raise or Not to Raise?, Mike Patton touches on the labour demand curve, elasticity, technological innovation in the very long run, and profit to support his stance against the raise. For the sake of conciseness, we will solely examine his application of the law of demand for labour in the context of the minimum wage increase, and how it stacks up to peer-reviewed research. The law of demand is the hypothesis that there is an inverse relationship between the quantity demanded of the good and its price (Gateman, 2015).…
