Donald J. Trump Being the president of the United States is a very critical job. Even though any American citizen can run for presidency, the candidate has to win people’s votes with their traits. Important traits all great presidents need, include: a professional appearance, trustworthiness, and be goal and achievement oriented. Donald Trump proves to be a likeable candidate because he possesses two of these traits: a professional appearance and goal and achievement oriented. As a child, Trump was full of energy and assertive. At the young age of 13, Trump was sent to the New York Military Academy by his parents, hoping to channel his energy in a positive manner. His main claim as president could easily just be on his businesses instead of America. Hillary Clinton stated in the first Presidential Debate, “Sometimes there’s not a direct transfer of skills from business to government, but sometimes what happened in business would be really bad for government.” (Clinton) Trump could be treating our country as just another one of his businesses. Running high-end businesses is not at all the same as running an entire country. Trump’s business mindset can take a wrong turn for America. This leads to the subject of trust. He is always focused on his appearance, bringing the most attention to his hair or his orange skin. People all around think his hair is fake, or in other words, a toupee, but in reality it’s just his real hair. Trump is literally obsessed with his appearance; he even went as far as saying he sees a thirty-five year old when looking in the mirror. (Trump on Dr.Oz) He also stated in an interview with NBC, “Well, I just don’t think she has the presidential look, (referring to Hillary Clinton) and you need a presidential look.”
