“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth” (William W. Purkey). According to Purkey people should live life how they want, and live life the way it make them happy. Morrie Schwartz would agree with what Purkey said to living life on what makes the person happy. In the memoir of Tuesdays with Morrie, Morrie teaches others how to live life through accepting regrets, loving others, and to express one 's emotions.
One of Morrie 's first teaching was on accepting regrets and to not hold a grudge. Morrie’s opinion on regrets was that he has once held a grudge with one of his old friends and once his friend died Morrie felt regret of not saying sorry to his friend from once he died from cancer. A example of some wise words of Morrie is “The culture doesn 't encourage you to think about such things until you’re about to die” (Albom 64). I agree that accepting one 's regrets is to be passed along to not hold a grudge to somebody before something happens. Being the one to hold a grudge on somebody makes one feel that if they do not say something now they will regret it in the end. This connects with my own life because I have had many regrets. I have regretted the choice of never forgiving my mom for the things she has have held me back on.
