The universities of US are prime models for observing such exposure and studying the impact of diversity on Educational Outcomes. A research that tracked 2,000 students at the University of California at Los Angeles found that students who experienced more racial diversity had positive racial attitude. They interacted with diverse students in classrooms and participated in diversity-related events so they were motivated to cope with complex society and to participate in a heterogeneous environment. They also had increased intellectual engagement and academic skills (e.g. critical thinking, analytical skill). The exposure to racial diversity is also responsible for the democracy outcomes from the students in US such as racial and cultural understanding and compatibility among different groups. As an international student I always thought that I would be considered a foreigner and be treated differently. I was amazed by how fellow American students treated me just like they would treat any other students. They were respectful and considerate regardless of my cultural and racial background.
