Majority of the involvements that I am in comprise of volunteer work with children such as the organization called Key Club. This organization has permitted me to interact with children from students who are in middle school or elementary. With this interaction with children who look up to older people, it is a passionate experience because I have the capability of making a child’s day better by cooperating with them. Not only does it give me a sense of happiness knowing that I can make an impact of a child’s life due to my positivity, but it has allowed me to improve on my communication skills in which I am diffident during the moment. Another extra-curricular activity that I cherish is volunteering at the Houston Food Bank. Majority of the volunteer work involves with packaging meals for people who do not have that financial stability to nurture themselves. This experience has been influential because many people do not realize that there are people in this world who do not live a prominent life as others. In which, this is a factor that has allowed me to strive for my goal of becoming a pediatrician to help other people in this world who are suffering.
With the skills and lessons I have acquired from my academics and extra-curricular activities, I have greatly improved as a character which will help me strive for my desired goal. Through my academic experience, I was able to test the extent of my capabilities in which it portrays that I am able to accomplish anything with the right mindset. Yet, I have learned that nothing is simply given to you, but it comes from the dedication and effort you put

From volunteering at Little Flower Academy’s open house for prospective students and being a volleyball official during games, it really helps me develop this ultimate bond and learning experience as I develop as a person through experience and training, develop social skills, and represent the school that I have learned to love from day one. I also serve throughout the weekends at my local church, Saint Mary’s Parish- from giving out pamphlets to churchgoers and serving and preparing muffins, sandwiches and drinks after mass, especially as it really helps me become more connected with the community and really feel connected to my church’s values and morals.
