Rick Bragg did a wonderful job by making the story flow very easily. The book is organized in chronological order, following Rick Bragg from when he is a toddler to when he is all grown up. The format makes the story easy to understand. The organization is very effective and keeps the story smooth.
“All Over but the Shoutin’” teaches you about life and integrity, and, on a scale from one to five, I reward it a five. This book illustrates a boy who was set up to be inadequate, had all odds against him to not reach his goal, but he kept trying and made a name for himself. The story is for people who want to accomplish something in life, who want to do something more. Rick Bragg’s life shows that whoever you are or wherever you come from, you can reach your goals and make a name for yourself.
