Social Media and Its Effect on Society Social media is always on the rise. Jeff Bullas stated in a recent article, “72% of all internet users are now active on social media.” This goes to show that more than half of internet users are sharing their information whether it is private or not. Social media has a great effect on how people around the world share and get their information. People fail to recognize that all information in which they share is processed and saved by the individual owners of each social media site.
