He showed impactful video along with demonstrations, that showed the robotic’s ability. As human beings we don’t have the luxury of being able to choose between becoming a male or a female, and regardless of what technology has to offer in the next generations to come it should stay that way. The idea of a man or women ever being more superior to another is an absolute disgrace to our society. In order for our country to function the way it does, men and women on a daily basis must work side by side under no restrictions. In all honesty, being a male I grew up not having to deal with all the sexism that goes on in a girls every day activities. I don’t blame the strong willed women for rebelling and going against the common stereotypes that are tagged against them, I would do the same.…
Feminism is the knowledge that woman and men are equal. Several people in the world believe that women and men are not equal; that men are more important than women. People tend to believe that men should have more rights than female’s because of their “masculinity”. Of course, woman in this century have a lot more rights than woman had in the 1800’s. During the 1800’s woman were not permitted to do many everyday things.…

Feminism, the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities (Webster), has changed in so many ways since the 1960s. In the 1960s, women were expected to marry in their early 20s, start a family quickly, and devote her life to homemaking. (Tavaana) Now, in the 21st century, women are expected to get a job and virtually do everything a man does. In 50 years, feminism has came a long way and continues to improve/change even today.…
The video I chose to observe via YouTube was, ‘Gender Roles in Society’ by Ria Chinchankar. The three highlights that really stood out to me were the different point of views, the history of anatomy, and the psychological aspects in regards to gender roles. I really enjoyed the beginning of the clip which started off by Ria asking the audience to shout out adjectives describing men and woman. The reason this influenced me so much was listening to other ideas everyone brought up. The perfect woman was described as feminine, small, petite, tall, pretty, and fabulous.…
Feminism is not just women wanting everything that men have, it is a complex and beautiful web of being, feeling, knowing, respecting and loving each and every other human as you would if they were straight, gay, trans, pansexual, asexual, or however they choose to identify as. Feminism is essential to me and has changed my life in a profound and positive way…
In Bryan Stevenson’s Ted talk he addresses the issues and injustices in the criminal justice system. The first main point that Stevenson makes is that there is a large degree of disconnect between what happens in the criminal justice system and communities of poverty, and what happens in those of affluent or middle class wealth. He illustrates that the train of thought is often, “that’s not our burden” when concerning issues of mass incarceration and poverty. He explains that we must be engaged with the issues of the poor and the suffering to fully evolve as a civilization. This disconnect is made clear when Stevenson compares the attitude of Germany to that of the United States on the topic of the death penalty.…
Michael Specter’s TED Talk “The Danger of Science Denial,” is an argument on why the scientific method is great and why it is an important part of the society. According to Specter, science has been the transformative force, which has remarkably improved the society in the last thousands of years. He argues that this happens to be the best time in society, in terms of mobility, wealth, health, and opportunities. However, science has been at the center of increased suffering for billions of societies across the world, with the rise of hunger. He argues that science has led to the degradation of land, which has then led to suffering for some parts of the society.…

In his TED talk “We can reprogram life. How do we do it wisely?” Juan Enriquez persuades the audience towards why altering lifecode is necessary and how humans have have been doing so for thousands of years through breeding. Enriquez develops his argument by providing insight on how humans have altered the mustard weed to specifically grow broccoli, cauliflower, and kale over thousands of years and now we are able to accelerate this process through genetic changes in plants but also in animals, particularly humans. Enriquez continues to explain how humans have used genetic altering (replacing specific genetic code causing disease) and how this is integrated into every human's life (genetically modified food and materials).…
Feminism means fighting for equal rights for women which are enjoyed by men. Feminism does not speak just about the social rights, but rather about the political and additionally monetary privileges of women. Feminism is a look at the personality of the most minimized individual on earth: that is, women. In India, women have consistently been viewed as powerless or mediocre by the overwhelming man-centric culture from ages. They are considered just a subject of persecution and predominance.…
“Feminism is the belief, attitude and action that work toward women’s rights and the equality between men and women” (Feminism and Other Issues”). Women were always thought to be inferior to men. Feminism has been a movement started by women searching for equal rights and opportunities as men. Although feminism can be found in almost any place in the world, feminism in the Puritan faith has absurd punishments. Feminism has been around since the late 1800s; women were tired of unequal rights and being thought of as less.…
The Reign of the Feminist “True equality means holding everyone accountable in the same way, regardless of race, gender, faith, ethnicity - or political ideology.” (Monica Crowley). This is especially true for women are beginning to be a true power in this world, with women becoming CEO’S of companies, and running for major offices. People need to realize that times are changing in the twenty-first century for women and today feminism is required to be successful in job fields like politics where women are taking a stand and becoming more assertive, in the home where single mothers who work are still producing children who help society, and in the workplace, where women still need to make a stand to make the same pay and have gender equality.…
