Since the beginning of time religion has always been a hot topic. For years and years theologians have taken hours on end attempting to figure out the literature and actual meaning of the bible, yet can humans really comprehend it all? People throw questions such as, how do you think worship should be constructed, should women lead the church, was Jesus even a real man who walked this earth, and furthermore. Unfortunately, all the questions about Christianity cannot be answered perfectly. Leaving us with one important question, how do we handle the concept as one? What is “right” and “wrong”? The documentary film, Jesus Camp, assists in answering the questions previously stated and viewers were able to take what they wanted from the film. Pastor Becky Fischer …show more content…
The quote “monkey see, monkey do”, could not be more accurate. Children adore learning, they enjoy performing what they watch others doing. As a result, depending on what kind of life style that child is raised under, will most likely be who that child will become as he or she grows older. If your parent speaks Germany growing up, then the only language you’ll speak is German. If your parent speaks French and English then that child will be trilingual. It plays the same role as religion, if we’re all individually taught a certain way about a religion, how else will we be conscious of another? With that insight, when a child attends a church service with their guardian, what that child is shown about God is what they will grow up knowing. The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. There is nothing as fragile as a child's psyche. Child psychologists will tell anyone that the most formative years are those from birth to about sever years old. While some may be of the opinion that children should not be exposed to "religion" during their formative years, there is enough proof that those who are brought up with a sense of right and wrong during their early years become better and more well adjusted adults. We are no talking of religion "per se" here. Teaching children about God at their earliest age -- if done the right way -- brings out more confident, behaved, well adjusted and loving kids.…
