The Meaning Of Good Before The Word Mood

A. Good has many different meanings depending on how it is used in a sentence. In this sentence, “Good behavior is usually rewarded in elementary school, but good deeds do not always get you to the top in adult life,” is a sentence where the meaning of good is applied differently. At first when I was reading the sentence, I didn’t even think about the meaning of good being different. When you are reading through something quickly you assume that a word has one meaning, but when you read through something thoroughly, you notice one word can mean many different things. When you look at the meaning of good before the word behavior, I would say the meaning of it would be what society thinks as morally right. In stated in the book, “The Challenge of Cultural Relativism,’ the second claim of Cultural Relativism-the right and wrong are determined by the society norms-is now singled out as being central to the theory” (section 2.2).

In number three, right means correct. I believe this would be ethical, because you followed what you thought was correct and as a result, you got the right answer.
