“America’s Gift to My Generation” When you think of a gift, you might think of a Christmas present, wrapped up with a bow. To me, however, a gift is something along the lines of freedom, rights, and honor. If we didn’t have those, we’d be lost. “True freedom is tolerant. It gives people the right to live and think in new ways.” -John Twelve Hawks, The Traveler. Freedom is one of the things that many think of when they think “America”. Freedom is not free, however. America should always remember the veterans who fought to give us freedom. They sacrificed so much, and put their lives on the lines for us. I would like to thank the veterans for their service, you opened up so many possibilities for my generation. People take rights for granted.
