In the movie called, “The Mean Girls” there is a character named Cady Heron. Cady Heron just moved to the United States from Africa. She has been homeschool her whole life and she was starting a new high school. In high school, Ms. Heron has to deal with teenage life that run socially by a group of artificial girls called, “The Plastics.” As the story goes on, Cady Heron winds up becoming the plastic’s queen of sorts and is dethroned by the old queen, when all of the students find out what these girls have been saying about them behind their backs; Eventually, Ms. Heron takes the blame for it all, however, in the homecoming ceremony, Cady Heron gives a piece of her winning crown to everyone and all is forgiven and the plastics are no more.

At the beginning of the story, Ms. Heron had a timid behavior, due to the fact that the environment of a new high school was different. Based on the Piagetian theory: “a theory of intellectual development uses two basic principles of biology and biological change: organization and adaption.” (Ross D. Parke/Mary Gauvain, 10). Cady Heron was organizing herself into a new country, house, and high school, and moreover she was adapting to the whole new experience. Nevertheless, the first day of high school, Cady was isolated and her behavior was full of confusions, she felt disoriented, and felt like high school was a non-shared environment, because everything was not shared or experienced equally. Furthermore, Cady Heron tried to fit into a group just to have friends and when she met a guy named Aaron Samuels in her math class, she dumbed herself to get his attention. She did not know that he was Regina George’s ex-boyfriend. At that time, Cady Heron was dealing with the information-processing approach: […] a development of focus on the flow of information through the cognitive system.” (11). For instance, the plastic girls were the peers who changed Cady Heron, but most of all it was Janis Ian who influenced Cady Heron to be part of the plastics. If it wasn’t for any of them, Cady would have been a lonely, but studios girl. A girl who would not bother anyone and she would have chosen the right friends. However, not everything was as bad as it seemed, Cady met her significant one, but that as well brought conflicts with Regina George. Everything in the movie seemed to be against Cady Heron, such as, friends, love, and learning. Cady Heron’s peer relationships influenced her to become a girl who only cares about herself. Furthermore, the environment was different, confused, and wild by Cady’s point of view. Moreover, the high school she was in, made her situation crazier. Cady H. never used to be around peers, since she was homeschooled in Africa. Additionally, Cady Heron’s behavior was a massive role in the movie. Cady chooses to be part of the plastics, she wanted to be like them and she became one of them. If she controlled herself in the first place, none of the drama she experienced would have happened. First of all, Cady’s behavior was in charge of her personality and her behavior was controlling part of her life. Most of all, the plastics changed Cady Heron’s genuine personality.
