The MBTI And The Horoscope Since we behave based on our personality, do we think about the method to figure out our personality? There are two theories, which help people’s personalities: The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Horoscope. The origins of these two systems are totally different. Instead of test of the MBTI, the way that the Horoscope uses is simple according to people’s birthday. Even though there are differences between Myer-Briggs Type Indicator and the Horoscope, both them could help people figure out their personalities and develop relationship in an appropriate way.

First, the history of the MBTI is shorter and more modern than the Horoscope. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator published by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother, Katharine Cook Briggs during the 1960s. Unlike the MBTI, the origin of the Horoscope was ancient, beginning with the early civilizations of Mesopotamia. During the 18h century BC, Babylonians introduce the concept of the zodiac, or called constellation. With development of Greek civilization, it is still popular today. Hence, the origin of the Horoscope is more ancient. One of the differences between these two theories is the number of personalities. That of MBTI is 16, which is more than the Horoscope with 12 personalities types.
