Between 250 AD to 600AD, the Mayans advanced in their civilization. The Mayans invented writing and advanced in astronomy and mathematics. The Mayan society had written records that survived but were incomplete. These records showed us the people information about their society. The Mayans also showed us their advancements through their architecture, sculptures, and art. The Mayans were also culturally the most advanced society in the Pre-Columbian New World; they were the society who persevered their writings. The Mayans were primarily hunters until 2000BC and then adopted farming as a new way of resources. The Mayan culture had crops domesticated in Mexico especially corn and beans. The Mayan culture had difficulty in agriculture than others. For example, they had problems with keeping the corn last long because of the environment. In my ideal society I would have laws and rules to avoid the problems of a collapse. In my society I would always have rules and structure to prevent any of the people in my society from causing problems. My society would appreciate the earth my not damaging and causing problems to it. For example, if we needed shelter or reason to cut a tree there would be a rule about how much trees we can cut per day. I would also try to find other resources to find shelter and try to avoid cutting trees but if there was no other resources there would be a rule that you could only cut a certain about of trees a day. The deforestation of other societies has caused dramatic damage to their societies. Climate change is one of the hardest factors to avoid because we are not able to control “Mother Nature”. In order to avoid climate change we would have to take certain precautions. For example, climate changes can cause drought so I would try to preserve the water we already have and find other ways to hydrate the human body. I would figure how much water each person would need and give them that about of water a day. I would regulate everyone’s intake of water to preserve as much water as we can.
