Once her father returned, he voiced against her attending the church and a bout of sunstroke broke her routine of traversing between her home and the Maryknoll…

In my opinion, most have gone through, or will go through, a severe trial during their life that will cause them to change their perspective. For me the trail I experienced which impacted me the most was seeing my little sister in critical condition at the age of two. I was nine and my world turned upside down for what seemed like forever. Although I was young at the time, the thought of not having my little sister in my life impacted me strongly, and led me to mature.…

My chosen quote for my prayer experience is Catherine McAuley’s “Prayer is a plant the seed of which is sown in the heart of every Christian, but its growth entirely depends on the care we take to nourish it.” The values that I have decided to take from this quote are that of growth, care of others and self, and reflection of actions. These values link directly to the quote, as they all discuss the concept of self-growth, through ‘nourishing’ spirituality and helping others. The aim of my religious prayer experience is for my audience to understand way in which they can grow their spirituality and reflect on how they have done this in the past. I have used a combination of scripture references, quotes and prayers to create a sense of connectedness and awareness of God.…

He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; and the Lord will raise him up.…
