Gothic horror, a genre of death and supernatural activity at least Edgar Allen Poe uses it in his story “Masque Of The Red Death”. How Poe uses death and supernatural occurrences in his story to prove that you can't escape or prevent death. In “The Masque Of The Red Death” Edgar used the gothic horror characteristics to explain no one can escape or prevent death.
