“The Masque of the Red Death” is a story by Edgar Allen Poe. In Edgar’s story, there was a message, that told us about how death was inevitable. No matter how healthy, wealthy or poor you are, you cannot stop yourself from meeting death. Poe meant that no matter what you cannot escape death. On the other hand, when the movie “Masque of the Red Death” came out, that message didn’t come across the same. For instance, in the book “The Masque of the Red Death” the plague hit many villages, so Prince Prospero takes about one thousand of his healthy friends to his castle. He then locks up his castle thinking the Red Death will never reach him and his friends. Prince Prospero thought, since he was wealthy he could protect his other wealthy friends
