The mood of The Masque of the Red Death is explained in many ways. The ways that it is showed are by the color of the rooms and to how the main characters are actually being portrayed in the story and how the mysterious figures keep showing up and how everybody is afraid of the mysterious figures. It is also showed when Prince Prospero was trying to get away from the Red Death person. The mood of the story is happy at first but tragic in the end. The mood is portrayed in the story by the color of the rooms. The first color of the room is blue, and blue is a color symbolizes the beginning of life because blue is a full beautiful color. And purple represents life and the living of the objects around. The third color in the story is green which means that people are young and ripe. Orange is the fourth color of the seven rooms that are portrayed in the story written by Edgar Allen Poe. The color also means that it is the fall of some one’s life being half way mid age, and the color white shows winter which is cold and the start of the end of the year. The story also shows that violet represents darkness, and sickness. And the final color that is portrayed in story is black. Whenever this clock chimed everyone in the castle would freeze, the music would stop and everybody would go into a silent state. The weird thing is when they are all asleep they their dreams would even freeze. The black room had a significant role also because when it did chime a mysterious person would appear and the weird thing about this person is that is looked like someone that has died because of the red death, and they all had the blood and the scars that where seen on the people that had it. The main figure started to kill people and as the last person died the clock stopped
