You have too take the time to be calm because if both of you all get heated at the moment it can turn into something scary. You want to make sure that you are empathetic and caring. Be the biggest support system that they have. Mostly people feel alone and don’t feel comfortable being around people knowing that they can snap at any given moment. The person diagnosed with the disorder is not to blame for the illness that has came upon them. Learn more about the disorder so you know what you are dealing with, there are many books, articles and magazines you can read. Listen too what the person says at all times. Listen to all of there feelings and emotions. Encourage them to stay steady with there medications and treatments. Stay by there side no matter what they say or what they are going thru. It may not seem like it but they need you the most.
Bipolar Disorder can cause dramatic mood swings. There has been many cases of suicide due to this matter. 25 to 50 percent attempt suicide. This is a big matter and we should do more to help. There should be more centers and reach out groups to help. People who have this illness can come together as a team and can talk about it together. Suicide is never the right choice. We can stop this because most people feel as if they are lonely and have no one to talk too. They feel that they are going thru this alone and cant turn to anyone even family members.
