The Manhattan Project was a program to build an the very first and extraordinary atomic bomb . An atomic bomb is a explosive that derives its destructive power from the rapid release of nuclear energy by fission of heavy atomic nuclei, causing damage through heatblast, and radioactivity. On July 1, 1945, one of the scientists protested against the president bombing although it was him who warned the world’s best scientist in the first place. July 16, 1945, is when the first bomb detonation was set under the codename of “Trinity Test.” The President of The United States orders for the bomb to be used on July 21, 1945. But that is also a flaw, having people knowing how to make a bomb with chemicals can be dangerous because anybody can do it. After the bomb was built Oppenheimer was offered to help build a hydrogen bomb but refused to because of building the atomic bomb. Oppenheimer said “Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds” with being said he finally realized what he had become for making this bomb. Although he wasn't the only one he knew it was his fault for building it. Building this bomb showed the world a whole new side to everything and destruction of the bomb became one. Szlizard tried to warn Truman not to do it but he did not listen. With that many people died, houses lost, mothers and father, along with children all dead because of a bomb
